Recents Rants About:

Wednesday, October 24th, 2006

Whoa! Way over one month without a blog update! Neary two, even! What to talk about---school is keeping me busy, but it has its benefits: I get to organize going over to other peoples' places! I'm going over to Scott Whitty's to play some Halo on his 100" Projector Television. W00t! =D

Scott's a good guy---the nice, intelligent and hilarious person. Derek Bush and AJ Comeau are going too. <3 multiplayer.

I'm a member of too many forums nowadays. I've limited it to a select few forums (and a few threads) that I check regularly. For the others, I check at least twice a week >_<

My brother stopped by yesterday and gave me a free 20" Television for my room! Huzzah! If my personal vending machine didn't nearly explode than I'd be set for life!

Well, that's it for now. Lost is on in half an hour---such an awesome show!

Half Life 2: Episode 2---with another trailer. Like all Valve games, it looks brilliant. Sorry for the quality loss. This game is going to be truly amazing---I urge you, if you haven't, to download Steam and buy some Valve games (such as the Half Life series, or Counter-Strike for instance).

Also, here's a perfect review for Saints Row, which came out a few days ago.

I've really gotta play FIFA 2007. It's coming out in October, and I'll be after it as soon as it's released. <3

Almost a month without a blog update! Oh noes!

Well, during the gap between the last post, I've went to the cyber cafe and spent more than ten hours there, went to play miniputt, went to Wild Water Kingdom, visiting my aunt and uncle, watched all 3 movies the theatre was showing, going fishing, played football, played games and today I'm going to Jeremy's 16th Birthday party.

Summer Vacation is coming to an end. I'm sad to see it go, but at the same time I'll be happy to see everyone again.

I'll be gone from 3:00 PM today and part of tomorrow because I'll be at Jeremy's. Takin' mah PS2 for some added fun <3

Well, we had a freak storm yesterday that left over half a million Canadians (including me) without power (some are still without), and the storm even reached Mexico City. We had some trees fall down, but our neighbor town got slammed. A train got derailed, buildings burnt down, the roof of a club got torn off, trees and powerlines everywhere---damn, sucks to be them.

Also, the first two real FIFA 07 videos were released today by EA Canada. w00t!

Well, been awhile since the last blog update, as you can see. Tomorrow I'm off to Canada's Wonderland with a few friends, it's gonna be the shizzie. Then I'm off into town the next day to see my girlfriend, and the day after I'm off with my Dad, and August 4th I've got a Family Reunion, and then someday that week I'm organizing a file system and...well, you get the point XD

I admit I've been neglecting a few of my forum homes, mainly MSDB, Sprite Wars and OUG. My bad, guys. I'll try to log more time in.

Mainly I've been doing football related things and visiting friends. Still have to hand in my application to a place, but I haven't gone in town to do it as of yet.

Not a good first impression, eh? XD

Well, I've been in quite a soccer mood today. I'll refer to 'soccer' as 'football' from now on, because it bugs me to say soccer. Firstly, my favorite teams got wiped out. England and Brazil all in one day, Germany in another. However, you can still tell which team I'm cheering for in the Finals (which will be later today). It's Zidane's last year, hope he has a good one. Also, Beckham is gone from FIFA now, and that's a shame---he was one of my favorites, and everyone knows him---he's one of the best.

Football aside, I've been relaxing and mostly playing some Counter-Strike: Source. Mapping has slowed down, and I'm planning on playing some Day of Defeat to test out their new "Defuse" style game---you must defuse the bomb before it's too late. It looks to be much fun.

Also: Curse you, Jeremy! You're enjoying the nice weather in Cuba right now!

...actually, the weather is nice here too. I little on the hot side, though.

That's all for now, CyaZ!

Ah, Summer Vacation. I've been on it for almost a week, and have been enjoying it greatly, often playing some Counter-Strike Source or mapping with the Valve Hammer Editor.

Spending time with friends is something I love doing, and Summer Vacation will be full of that, whether it be simply playing some FIFA '06 at my house, going swimming or around town, or going somewhere else---I'll be busy doing it.

Canada Day is tomorrow, and I can't wait. Another year for the Country!

A special congratulations to Jazzie, who gets to go to Cuba on Sunday.

Gary's Mod is such a fun thing to use. I recently discovered that online, it can own even more. Firstly, there are regular fighting servers, which, in my opinion, are the worst, but can be fun. Then there are building servers, which are really fun, even if you just watch. Then there are RP Servers, which are either really fun or really boring. One thing to anyone who plays with me (Username: John). Don't keep bugging me on an RP Server, because I will:

-Keep murdering you, and get away with it.
-Purchase doors and lock them on you.
-Spawn huge items in front of your doors constantly.

I can be pretty evil to those who boot me out of stores for no reason, or kill me for no reason. It's easy to talk your away out of an arrest from another user =-)

Other than that, I'm a great RPer to work with =P

Of course, there are many other server types, but I don't want to take all day.

---

Oh, and although I have Source, if you ever play the regular Counter-Strike, you can probably bet I'll be on ther server name Th3 c|ick FF/On, at the IP of 64.242.242.78:27015, so be sure to join. Once again, my name will be John.

Hope to play against you! =P

Yes! Finally! Freakin' yes! Today I got the Source Premier Pack for Steam! I've waited for such a long time, and now I have it! I'll mainly be using Gary's Mod, Counter Strike: Source, Day of Defeat: Source and Half Life 2: Deathmatch, but Half Life 2 and Half Life 2: Episode One will be played through at least once---replayability is less there, but still---dayum, Valve <3!

Already preparing for Gary's Mod Comics. Counter Strike: Source is almost finished downloading. =D

I've decided to star a Blog here, mainly because there isn't anywhere else in the site where I can just rant about what's happening. Not that it really matters to you XD

I've been busy with school projects. I've got a huge Biography Presentation due in English that I need to work on, and it's getting me stressed. French is continuing to suck, because it's so boring. At least I'm owning at Computers, in which I just finished a unit the class is now starting XD (Free time for me =D)

On the plus side, I got Steam to give me the Half Life Platinum Pack. Now I can play all the old games. I've been wanting Half Life 2, but these will have to do for now. Someday, I shall have Half Life 2, CS: S, HL:DM and most importantly, Gary's Mod. <3

That's all for now.
